Biosensors Workshop

Biosensors Workshop

Location: Château Rhianfa Beaumaris Rd, Menai Bridge, Isle of Anglesey, Wales, LL59 5NS

Start: 4th September 2017 - End: 5th September 2017

Event Time: 11.30am

This workshop is aimed at highlighting the novel research that is taking place in the area of health related biosensors. Biosensors are of paramount importance for the effective use of novel therapeutic drugs; as such this meeting will bring together researchers from across Wales both to present their research and to meet global researchers in the field.

The research area of biosensors has changed dramatically in the last few decades, with even greater changes being anticipated in the near future. In order for the research into novel biosensors to be effective it is imperative to include commercial and clinical input from an early stage. Hence this workshop will draw together academics, clinicians and companies, all of which will present and form a North Wales hub of expertise with global reach.

The workshop will pull together experts in the field of biosensors with the ambition to generate new research collaborations and future funding applications.

Biosensors are a first line tool in monitoring the effective use of drug treatment and the prevention of unnecessary drug, which often leads to increased patient drug resistance and detrimental health effects on the patient.
